All the fun of the fair at Samuel White's school

Published on: 04 Aug 2017

PUPILS at Samuel White's Infant School were blessed with good weather when they held their summer fair.

Boasting numerous attractions, including bouncy castle, stalls, face-painting, games and raffle, the annual event attracted hundreds of parents, grandparents and residents.

Proving popular was a make-your-own burger stall, where visitors could also toast marshmallows.

The event, organised by Friends of Samuel White's Infant School, raised £2,775.

Headteacher Gabby Christopher said: "I was overwhelmed by the amount of support for the event from the local community and the many people who gave up their time to run stalls, set up and even pack it all away. We were inundated with donations from children, parents, staff and businesses."

Sally Britton, who was chair of Friends of Samuel White's Infant School until the end of the school year, said: "It went really well - we were amazed at the amount of people who turned up.

"The feedback we got after the event was really positive and showed everyone enjoyed it. We had lots of help from families and teachers so I'd like to say a big thank you to them."
