Armed robbery at supermarket: two men face charges

TWO men have been charged with armed robbery at a supermarket in Warmley.

 

TWO men have been charged with armed robbery at a supermarket in Warmley.

Michael Shuker, aged 34, and Jason Lamb, aged 39, both from the local area, have been charged with robbery and possession of an imitation firearm. 

They were due to appear at Bristol Magistrates Court as Hanham and Longwell Green Voice went to print.

The robbery took place at the Co-op in School Road just after 7.20am on Saturday December 16. Two suspects were arrested within 90 minutes of police being alerted to the incident.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious in School Road or in the nearby area on Saturday morning, or to anyone who has found clothing or other items nearby that could be connected to the robbery. 

Some items police believe are of significance were found in bins around the Cadbury Heath area.
