A FAMILY fun event will take place in Longwell Green next month as part of a series of activities across the city organised by charity The Noise.

The Noise has been supporting urban communities in greater Bristol since 2001, partnering with local churches and community groups.

Last year saw the largest Noise weekend to date with community projects and free family fun afternoons taking place in 11 communities across the city with more than 900 local volunteers.

In 2018 only, Bristol Noise is partnering with other organisations to run Hope Bristol 2018 - a four-day community action event in up to 18 communities, including Longwell Green.

The Noise will host a family fun event on Saturday April 7 at United Church (opposite Aldi) and a senior citizens' event at the same venue on Friday April 6.Timings are to be confirmed. Community projects will also be carried out across the area on April 6.

The events will build on the 17  years that Bristol Noise has worked in urban communities, serving priority estates.

Hope Bristol takes place from April 4-7 (during the Easter school holidays) and aims to continue the vision of The Noise to ‘show God’s love in practical ways’.

Full details will be available in mid-March. Visit www.thenoise.org.uk, www.facebook.com/bristolnoise and www.twitter.com/bristolnoise
