Bid for homes, shop and surgery
A PUBLIC survey took place last month to gather views on plans to redevelop Chief Trading Post café and shop.
Plans for the site on Barry Road include demolishing the existing buildings on the site.
Developers Oldland Common LLP want to build new premises for Chief Trading Post, as well as a GP surgery, 40 homes, a learning disability residential centre and a public open space.
The homes will include affordable homes and bungalows and the public open space would include “enhanced landscaping” to support wildlife and increase biodiversity.
They have said any comments from the public survey will be “considered” as they put together a formal planning application for the work.
