Cooking up a treat

TALENTED local cooks have won awards for their sweet creations.

Bev Smith, catering manager at SBL Academy, pictured, had two successes at the LACA (Lead Association for Catering in Education) awards. She earned a certificate of merit for her mango and white chocolate cheesecake and a bronze award for her indulgent chocolate truffles.

Sharon Bond, catering supervisor at @BathStudioSchool, came away from the same awards with a certificate for her superb World War One decorated cake.

Both work for the Zest, the catering arm of Wellsway Multi Academy Trust. 

Operations manager Claire Mansri said: “This truly highlights the skills and ability within Zest catering and I am extremely proud that Bev an Sharon have been recognised for their talents.”

Zest provides catering services for most of the Trust’s schools, including several in Keynsham.
