Man dies after car hits wall near supermarket

POLICE are continuing to appeal for witnesses after a man was killed when his car hit a brick wall in Longwell Green.
The incident happened at 3.10am on Sunday August 11 in Craven Way, near the approach to Asda.
A Vauxhall Corsa was travelling in a south westerly direction down Craven Way towards the mini roundabout, where there is an option to turn left towards Marsham Way or right into the supermarket. The car, however, carried straight on, hitting the brick wall at the far side of the roundabout.
The male driver received attention at the scene but died shortly afterwards.
The road was closed to allow collision investigators to examine the scene and was re-opened at about 9am.
Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident who may have information.
