A LONG-running local drama group is looking for fun-loving adults to appear in this year’s Christmas pantomime.
The Hanham Players, who have been together for 70 years, already have a full child chorus for their production but are struggling to put together an adult chorus.
Charlotte Lawrence, of the group, said: “We would love to get the numbers up for the production and as we have a full children’s chorus it would be a shame to not be able to get enough adults to make it a spectacular performance.
“We need people aged 16 plus with any ability really, there is no need to have ‘trodden the boards’ before.
“Everyone is made most welcome as we’re a friendly bunch with ages ranging, besides the kids, from late teens to late 80s depending on cast availabilities.”
The Hanham Players, who rehearse and perform at the Hanham Community Centre, put on three productions a year and have a youth group section which puts on one production a year, as well as getting involved where required to help out in the adult section.
The cast meets every Wednesday and Friday evenings from 7.30-8pm until about 9.30-10pm.
For people who have an interest in being involved in the ‘behind the scenes’ crew there is a meet-up on a Wednesday evening.
You have to pay to be a member of Hanham Players. The fee  is £24 per year.
