PUPILS from Samuel White's Infant School embraced World Book Day despite the snow.

Children from all years headed to school wearing an impressive array of book-related costumes.

They spent a fun morning celebrating the special day but their fun was cut short when the school was forced to close early.

Headteacher Gabby Christopher said: "Despite the snowy weather, our children still arrived in their costumes and had a fun morning!

"We had activities planned for the afternoon but we decided to close at 1pm due to the bad weather."
